Because sometimes western medicine is not enough…
Meet your holistic veterinarian!
I am an experienced veterinarian specialising in holistic therapies combined with traditional medicine, to enhance the health and wellbeing of small animals in Maresme and Barcelona.
I believe that veterinary care should focus on treating the root causes of health issues rather than just alleviating symptoms. This is why I practice integrative veterinary, providing my patients with the best of both worlds.
After graduating from the Free University of Berlin in 2000, I completed my doctorate and a two-year internship at the University Hospital for small animals. This extensive training allowed me to develop a deep understanding of various clinical specialties, including surgery, and anaesthesia.
In 2002, I moved to Maresme, Barcelona for love and sunshine. There I undertook a postgraduate degree in vet ophthalmology and went on to co-own and manage a thriving veterinary clinic in Alella for 14 years. During this time, I honed my skills in small animal surgery, internal medicine and ultrasound.
Having always believed in a more holistic approach to veterinary medicine, in 2021, I pursued my passion for integrative care by training in veterinary acupuncture and Japanese Moxibustion, passing my board exams in 2024. I also expanded my practice to include Food Therapy based on TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine) in 2023.
Currently, I am working toward becoming an accredited animal chiropractor with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC), set to qualify in March 2025. This unique combination of therapies supports and enhances my ability to give the best possible care to your animals.
As an integrative vet, my unique strength lies in her breadth and depth of clinical experience, which informs my work with holistic therapies to make meaningful change and improve the quality of life for our furry friends and their pet parents.
Through her integrative approach, I can tailor treatments to each animal’s specific needs, ensuring a comprehensive and effective care plan, in tandem with their primary care vet.
My treatments address a wide range of issues in small animals, such as digestive problems, lameness, skin conditions, allergies, sleepless nights, chronic pain, and mobility challenges.
To make her services as accessible as possible, I offers home visits—ideal for older pets or those with mobility issues—along with offering appointments at local clinics. Chronic cases often benefit from ongoing, monthly follow-up sessions to maintain optimal health and comfort.
I am immensely passionate about helping animals as possible live healthier, happier lives for years to come.
